This is a small demonstration unit for the STM32 series of ARM
microcontrollers.
Low, ~$50, pricetag that includes several components:
STM32F103B MCU with 128-KB flash program memory and
20-KB SRAM |
128x128 LCD display |
2 mini USB ports (one strictly for debugging) |
3D MEMS accelerometer |
3 LEDS (one for debugging) |
buzzer |
optional IRDA transceiver (you need to buy and solder it in
yourself) |
pushbutton switch |
rechargeable battery (recharges via USB)
IDE supplied by Raisonance
they also develop the RLink debugging hardware/software
They also make the CircleOS menu program for the device. With
it, several small programs can be stored on the device and selected
between. |
IDE seems to be a frontend for the GCC compiler. Debugging is
limited to small programs. |
GCC could probably be used from command line to compile also.
One serious problem is getting the RLink device driver installed and
working
RLink enables single-step debugging with the actual device via USB
RLink currently does not work at all with Vista x64. A new
driver was provided to allow usage with Vista x32. |
I could not get RLink to work with one laptop running Windows XP.
I think the problem may be with the Sentinel security system that
pre-installed software uses and Raisonance also uses to protect their
software. |
