History:
- The original EVE1 chips (FT80x) were
interesting, but not very powerful
- EVE2 changed things and it became very
interesting and usable for displays up to around 7" or so
- EVE3 and EVE4 added QPI flash chip support
and added speed and are now useable up to just past 720p resolution
for 10" and up screens

You'll also want to see the datasheets:
- Rayslogic.com has demonstrated these things
with EVE and P2 so far:
- Ported Spin1 EVE2 driver for P1 chips to
Spin2 for use with P2 chips
- Adapted several of FTDI's
example C codes for use with FlexSpin C
- Demonstrated using Matrix Orbital's EVE2
code at GitHub
with FlexSpin C
- Adapted the EVE2/3 gd2-lib (AKA Gameduino)
from Github and got
several of the examples to work
- Created a VGA output adapter for EVE3/4 using
the ADV7125 triple DAC chip and demostrated VGA and 720p output
- Demonstrated using a USB mouse to interact
with EVE widgets in 720p
